"If you can sense it and feel it, you can change it."
-Thomas Hanna-

         Sensor Motor Amnesia (SMA)

SMA is a state of habitually and involuntarily contracting our muscles in response

to ongoing stress responses,

injury or surgery

or just repetitive behaviour.

Sensor Motor Amnesia builds up over time.

We lose conscious voluntarily control over our muscles and movement

and we lose sensation of the movement or posture.

The muscles can't relax any longer

and  the muscles stay tight because your brain is going on to send messages to contract them.

The brain has forgotten how to let go the tension in the contracted muscles.
